Edition 2025 — Sant'Agata a Tremenico
In 2025, Tremenico also celebrated its patron saint Agatha with the traditional early February festival: the procession with the statue of the saint carried by women in traditional costume, the musical band, the ritual of burning the balloon, and convivial moments with lunches, bingo, and a dancing evening. A festival that each year draws the community of Valvarrone.
The 2025 edition of the Festa di Sant'Agata in Tremenico, a hamlet of Valvarrone in the province of Lecco, followed the traditional structure that has marked this mountain festival for generations: the costume procession from the small church of San Carlo, accompanied by the musical band, the solemn Mass with the burning of the balloon symbolizing the saint's martyrdom, and convivial moments in a heated venue. An identity-defining event for the entire village.
