Festa di San Michele Arcangelo a Sant'Angelo in Grotte

The festival of Saint Michael the Archangel is the main identity event for Sant'Angelo in Grotte, a hamlet of Santa Maria del Molise. In the 2025 edition, the community gathered on September 29th around the sacred Lombard-era cave for the pilgrimage, liturgical celebrations, and procession.

As per centuries-old tradition, the day renewed the Rite of Comparanza, a pact of spiritual kinship before the Archangel, accompanied by the production of the traditional festival biscuits.
