Edition 2025 — San Martino

The 2025 edition of the Festa di San Martino was celebrated on November 11th in Venice, with children roaming the alleyways banging pots and pans in search of sweets and pastry shops featuring the typical knight-shaped Saint Martin biscuits.

In 2025, Venice also celebrated the Festa di San Martino on November 11th. Children, wearing cardboard crowns and red capes, livened up the alleyways by banging ladles on pots and pans and singing the traditional nursery rhyme, receiving sweets and coins in return. Pastry shops displayed the characteristic shortcrust pastry biscuits shaped like a knight on horseback, renewing a centuries-old popular tradition deeply rooted in the city.
