Festa di San Giovanni Battista

The 2025 edition

The 44th edition of the Festa di San Giovanni Battista was held in Camerano from August 24th to 31st, 2025. The heart of the festivities, as tradition dictates, was the Contesa del Sacro Vassoio with the challenge between the eight districts of the town. On the patron saint's day, August 29th, events included at 6:30 PM the contest with the giant tray throwing, at 7:00 PM the opening of the food stalls, at 8:00 PM the performance of the Camerano town band, at 10:00 PM the night-time race of the Sacred Tray, at 11:00 PM the awarding of prizes to the districts, and at 11:30 PM the lottery draw. The festival was accompanied by the historical costume parade and religious celebrations in the historic center.
