Festa des Escartons

The first edition of the Festa des Escartons took place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the municipalities of Cesana Torinese and Sauze di Cesana, in the upper Susa Valley (Province of Turin). The walk started from the church of Sant'Atanasio in San Sicario Borgo and, crossing the three Champlas, reached the church of San Restituto in Sauze di Cesana. At 5:00 PM, an ecumenical prayer in the Occitan language was held, followed at 5:30 PM by the cultural meeting "Tournà a menà la bertavelle" at Casa Viva, curated by the Chambra d'Oc. The initiative, promoted by Pro Loco San Sicario 1560 APS with local cultural associations, celebrated the 682 years of the Charter of Liberties of the Briançonnais.
