Edition 2025 — Festa dello Zafferano di Braccano

In autumn 2025, the hamlet of Braccano, in the Municipality of Matelica (MC), renewed its appointment with the Saffron Festival, combined with the excursion into the foliage of the Monte Cipollara beech forest. A day of mountain walking, discovery of local saffron cultivation, and tasting of typical Marche traditional dishes, during the period of flowering and autumn colours.

The 2025 edition of the Saffron Festival took place in Braccano di Matelica in the autumn period, when the saffron fields are in bloom and the woods of the Marche Apennines offer the spectacle of foliage. In 2025 too, the event, curated by the Comitato Feste Braccano, combined the guided excursion on Monte Cipollara with the promotion of local saffron, a spice cultivated in these lands since the Middle Ages.

As per tradition, participants were able to walk in the autumn beech forest and then taste traditional dishes flavoured with Braccano saffron, rediscovering the village of murals and the flavours of the region's peasant cuisine.
