Edition 2025 — Cotta del Carbone Vegetale

In 2025 too, Pomonte renewed in August the Festa della Rievocazione della Cotta del Carbone Vegetale, with the reconstruction of the ancient charcoal pile, dancing evenings, and gastronomic stands dedicated to the village's specialities, from snails 'alla pomontina' to goose dishes, accompanied by Umbrian wines.

The 2025 edition of the festival confirmed Pomonte's commitment to preserving the memory of the charcoal burners. In the heart of summer, the hamlet of Gualdo Cattaneo hosted the re-enactment of the vegetable charcoal cooking, with the demonstration of the ancient charcoal pile, moments of folk tradition, and dancing evenings. The gastronomic stands offered Pomonte specialities — lumache alla pomontina (snails 'alla pomontina') and dishes based on goose — along with local wines, attracting visitors from all over the area.
