Edition 2025 — Madonna della Pietà
On the first weekend of July 2025, Terranova di Pollino celebrated the Festa della Madonna della Pietà with the traditional procession of the cinti, amidst folk music and devotion, in the heart of the Pollino National Park.
In 2025 as well, the community of Terranova di Pollino gathered on the first weekend of July around the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Pietà. The procession of the cinti, with women carrying compositions of wheat ears and candles on their heads, marked the celebrations to the rhythm of bagpipes, accordions, and drums, confirming the vitality of one of the most characteristic religious traditions on the Lucanian side of the Pollino.
