Edition 2025 — Madonna del Pollino (Discesa)
In 2025, the descent of the Madonna del Pollino again brought the statue from the sanctuary on Monte Pollino to San Severino Lucano, accompanied by bagpipes, accordions, and tarantellas, concluding the great devotional season of Pollino.
The 2025 edition of the descent confirmed the strength of this community rite. After the Confraternity's preparations at dawn on Saturday, the statue of the Madonna del Pollino was brought back in procession from the sanctuary at an altitude of 1537 meters to San Severino Lucano, accompanied by bagpipers, accordionists, and devotional tarantella. Many faithful from Basilicata and Calabria came to greet the Madonna's return to the village.
