Edition 2025 — Festa della Castagna

In 2025, the San Massimo Chestnut Festival confirmed its mid-October slot in Piazza Marconi, at the foot of Campitello Matese. Stalls with roasted chestnuts, polenta, gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and truffles, hung caciocavallo cheese, and mulled wine, live music until late, and a free shuttle for visitors.

The 2025 edition of the Chestnut Festival renewed the autumn chestnut roast in San Massimo (CB) in Piazza Marconi, following the previous editions (the 3rd was held on October 18-19, 2024, starting at 7:00 PM). The event featured roasted chestnuts, polenta, gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and truffles, hung caciocavallo cheese, and mulled wine, with live music until late at night and a free shuttle, confirming its place among the most beloved gastronomic events of the autumn in the Molise Matese region.
