Edition 2025 — Castagna di Calizzano

In 2025, the Festa della Castagna enlivened Calizzano with over fifty stands, the roasted chestnut competition, and the awarding of the 'Castagna d'oro'. The festival, a regular fixture on the third Sunday of October, attracted numerous visitors, confirming itself as one of the most renowned chestnut festivals in Liguria.

The 2025 edition of the Festa della Castagna in Calizzano upheld the tradition of the third Sunday of October. The village in the upper Val Bormida was filled with stands dedicated to chestnuts and typical products, with the roasted chestnut competition and the awarding of the 'Castagna d'oro' taking centre stage. Organised by the Municipality and the Pro Loco, the festival celebrated the region's signature fruit, attracting visitors from all over the region on one of the most cherished days of the Savona autumn.
