Edition 2025 — Battitura di Piosina
From July 16 to 20, 2025, Piosina, a hamlet of Città di Castello, hosted the 42nd edition of the Festa della Battitura del Grano, organized by the Pro Loco of Piosina. The event brought together over 500 participants and more than 200 volunteers in the recreation of peasant civilization traditions, featuring the captivating night-time threshing in the illuminated area of the Biribino farmhouse.
Mid-20th century peasant cuisine was the star of the gastronomic stands, with handmade tagliatelle with goose ragù, roasts, and braised meats. Five days of celebration included running and cycling races, dances with live orchestras, briscola tournaments, DJ sets, and on Sunday, the solemn Mass and the traditional threshing lunch.

Sunday, July 20
- 10:00 AM — Solemn Mass
- 12:30 PM — Threshing lunch
- Concluding evening with exhibitions and dancing
The heart of the festival is the night-time threshing at the Biribino farmhouse, with the restored historic thresher.
