Edition 2025 — Festa del Sole
The 55th Festa del Sole
The 2025 edition opened on Wednesday, July 16, with the bicycle race qualifiers, followed on Thursday the 17th by the river boats and Friday the 18th by the tubs, all at 6:30 PM on the Velino. On Friday evening, at the Roman Bridge, the 'Fregnacce sul Ponte' food festival dinner was held, organized by the Pro Loco, featuring trout panzanella and typical Rieti pasta.
The main weekend
On Saturday, July 19, the district parade crossed the historic center starting at 6:30 PM, followed in the evening by the 'Water Jazz Stories' concert by the Marco Turani quartet and the evocative torchlight procession on the river. On Sunday, July 20, after the greeting from the Palio di San Lorenzo di Subiaco and the blessing of the athletes, the finals of the pole duel, swimming, bicycles, river boats, and the Palio della Tinozza were held, with the presentation of the banner to the winning district and a final evening featuring tandem flight shows, cabaret, and live music.
