Edition 2025 — Festa del Redentore

On the second Sunday of July 2025, Palmanova celebrated its patron saint, the Santissimo Redentore, with a solemn Mass in the Dogal Cathedral, the blessing of the Marcian gonfalon, and the re-enactment of the flag-raising in Venetian costume in Piazza Grande.

The 2025 edition of the Festa del Santissimo Redentore renewed Palmanova's patronal tradition: the solemn Mass in the Dogal Cathedral accompanied by city choirs, the blessing of the city and the Marcian gonfalon, and the re-enactment of the 1602 flag-raising with hundreds of figures in period costume in Piazza Grande.

The festival confirmed the strong intertwining of religious devotion, civic identity, and memory of the Serenissima that characterizes the star-shaped fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
