Festa del Miracolo di San Nicolò

In 2025, Pietra Ligure once again renewed the Festa del Miracolo di San Nicolò on July 8th, commemorating the 1525 event which, according to tradition, freed the city from the plague.

The day was marked by the solemn procession with dozens of Ligurian confraternities accompanying the saint's ark, the ringing of the original bells, and a fair in the city center. Among the most heartfelt moments were the blessing of the sea; the grand finale with the fireworks display from the pier, which illuminated the Gulf of Pietra Ligure.
