Edition 2025 — Festa del Lago
In its full editions, the Festa del Lago di Varenna enlivens the entire day along the lakefront: aperitif in the afternoon, typical cuisine, live music, the blessing of boats, and the evening fireworks display, with the historical reenactment of the landing of refugees from Comacina Island in 1169. An event that attracts thousands of visitors to the Lecco branch of Lake Como.
The Festa del Lago di Varenna, organized by the Pro Loco of Varenna in the province of Lecco, is traditionally one of the most evocative summer events on Lake Lario. In its full editions, the day unfolds with an aperitif, typical cuisine, music, the blessing of boats, and fireworks on the lake, accompanied by the reenactment of the landing of refugees from Comacina Island. A special ferry connects Varenna to the other shores of the lake to witness the spectacle.
