Edition 2025 — Festa del Fuoco

In 2025, Grello once again celebrated its Festa del Fuoco, with the Night of Fire on the eve of San Giovanni. The three districts San Giovanni, Sant'Angelo, and San Donato raced with torches and tregge loaded with burning incije around the castle walls, culminating in a pyromusical show and the rituals of June 24th.

The 2025 edition confirmed the Festa del Fuoco as the most defining tradition of the hamlet of Grello, in Gualdo Tadino (PG). On the night between June 23rd and 24th, the eve of San Giovanni Battista, the three districts — San Giovanni, Sant'Angelo, and San Donato — brought the ritual race to life with torches and tregge loaded with burning incije, running around the ancient castle walls. The festival, of probable pagan origins linked to the summer solstice, concluded with the pyromusical show and, on June 24th, with the Solemn Mass and procession.
