Festa del Balon de San Peder

In 2025, the 46th edition of the Festa del Balon de San Peder re-enacted the evocative propitiatory ritual dear to Abbiategrasso: after the religious service, the mayor and the parish priest together set fire to the large paper and fabric balon hung in the center of the square, kicking off the celebrations. Organized by the Association 'Amici del Palio di San Pietro', the festival confirmed its role as an identity event for the community, in the Metropolitan City of Milan.
