Festa dei Santi Patroni Nicandro, Marciano e Daria

The Festival of the Patron Saints in 2025 followed the usual pattern in Isernia from June 16th to 18th. On the 16th, the silver bust of Saint Nicandro and the relics were carried in procession from the Annunciation to the basilica, with solemn vespers by Bishop Camillo Cibotti.

On the 17th, the day of the solemnity, the Pontifical Mass saw the renewal of the rite of handing over the city keys and candles to the Bishop by the new mayor Alfredo Ricci. On the 18th, the long final procession, with thousands of faithful and the popular hymn composed in 1881, accompanied the Patrons back to the Church of the Annunciation.

The 2025 calendar followed the usual structure: June 16th procession of the silver bust and Bishop's vespers; June 17th solemnity with Pontifical Mass and rite of the city keys; June 18th final procession towards the Annunciation.
