Edition 2025 — Festa dei Gigli
The 150th Festa dei Gigli
In 2025, the Festa dei Gigli of Brusciano celebrated its first 150 years of history, an anniversary deeply felt by the community of the town of Brusciano, in Campania. As per tradition, the seven wooden and papier-mâché obelisks were lifted and made to dance by the paranze of carriers to the rhythm of brass bands, in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua.
The event took place between late August and early September, with the Ballata dei Gigli as the highlight, along with religious processions and numerous initiatives organized by the committees and the Ente Festa dei Gigli. The 150th-anniversary edition confirmed the festival's value as intangible cultural heritage recognized by the Campania Region and as one of the most authentic expressions of popular devotion in the Naples area.
