Edition 2025 — Corsa ai Piani

In July 2025, the appointment with the Festa ai Piani and the historic Tavagnasco - Santa Maria Maddalena ai Piani race was renewed in Tavagnasco, marking the 74th edition of the longest-running mountain race in Europe. Athletes from all over Piedmont and beyond tackled the tough climb towards the sanctuary, while the village experienced its classic festive weekend of traditional cuisine and music.

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of a tradition that has lasted uninterrupted since 1952. The 74th Tavagnasco - Santa Maria Maddalena ai Piani race once again featured its famous climb of about 4.5 km and over 1,050 meters of elevation gain, from the bridge over the Dora Baltea to the Piani sanctuary, attracting mountain running specialists and enthusiasts.

Surrounding the race, the Festa ai Piani enlivened the municipality of Tavagnasco, in the Province of Turin, with grilled meats, polenta, musical moments, and the conviviality typical of summer festivals in the Canavese region.
