Ferragosto Casalese – Sea Procession for the Madonna dell'Assunta and Dawn Concert

On August 15, 2025, Casalbordino renewed its Ferragosto tradition at the Marina, on the Costa dei Trabocchi. The day opened with the Dawn Concert by maestro Simone Sala, accompanied for the occasion by voice and bass.

At 10:00 AM, the boarding of the statue of the Madonna dell'Assunta kicked off the evocative sea procession, with the Virgin accompanied along the coast by festively decorated fishing boats. At the end, the statue reached the shore and proceeded towards Finis Terrae, near Casette Santini, where a Holy Mass was celebrated in the presence of civil and religious authorities and Civil Protection volunteers, of whom the Madonna dell'Assunta is the patron saint.

The evening on the promenade featured a performance by Fernanda D'Ercole with the Evergreen orchestra, with the finale entrusted to the traditional fireworks over the Adriatic Sea.
