Federicus 2025: "Vento di Soave" in a single day

The twelfth edition of Federicus was held on Friday, April 25, 2025, in a concentrated format over a single day, due to ongoing restoration works in the historic center of Altamura. The theme, "Vento di Soave", drew inspiration from Canto III of Dante's Paradiso to celebrate the Swabian dynasty and Emperor Frederick II.

The day opened at 11:00 AM with the opening procession from Piazza Unità d'Italia to Piazza Matteotti, followed at 11:30 AM by the "In Festa" show with falconers, flag-wavers, jesters, and musicians. At 1:00 PM, the traditional Palio of San Marco was held in Piazza Matteotti. In the afternoon, the grand historical procession "Vento di Soave – Magnifico Corteo Imperiale", with over a thousand participants, departed from the Tonino D'Angelo Stadium, crossing the streets of the center and staging five episodes from the life of Frederick II and his imperial coronation. In the evening, the Ludi Friderici closed the festival with fire dances, artistic performances, and ancient music. Admission to all events was free.
