Edition 2025 — Sacred Heart of Jesus

In 2025, the Confraternity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus once again celebrated the feast dedicated to the Sacred Heart in Enna, with the solemn procession of the Sacred Image through the city streets on the last Sunday of June. Alongside the liturgical celebrations at the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, the Enna community experienced the traditional moments of devotion and popular events linked to this historic commemoration of the ancient sulfur miners.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Enna renewed the devotional tradition promoted by the Confraternity of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1839. As every year, on the last Sunday of June, the confreres, in traditional attire with amaranth-red capes, carried the wooden statue of the Sacred Heart in procession through the city streets, starting from the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo.

The festival confirmed its popular and identity-defining character, weaving together liturgical celebrations with the convivial moments dear to the Enna community, including the traditional Pittidda Festival.
