Feast of the Nativity of Mary — Montebruno Sanctuary

In 2025 as well, the community of Montebruno gathered on September 8th for the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, the patronal anniversary of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montebruno. The sanctuary, linked to the Marian apparition of 1478 and among the oldest and most revered in the Trebbia Valley, was a destination for pilgrims from the valley.

The solemn liturgical celebrations and the procession with the statue of the Virgin through the village streets formed the heart of the day, organized by the Pro Loco and the parish of Montebruno, in an interweaving of popular devotion and hospitality that has been renewed for centuries.
