Feast of the Most Holy Ecce Homo

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Most Holy Ecce Homo renewed one of the town's oldest devotions in Mistretta (ME), in the Nebrodi Mountains, celebrated on the second Sunday of September.

After the preparatory novena at the Church of Santa Maria di Gesù, featuring the display of red drapes and the lighting of the votive lamp, the venerated 17th-century statue attributed to Friar Umile da Petralia and the varetta with the relic of the Holy Cross were carried in procession through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the clergy, authorities, and the local band. The festivities concluded with a fireworks display.
