Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix

The 2025 patronal feast

In 2025, Rutigliano renewed its most cherished patronal feast on September 13, 14, and 15. The program intertwined, as per tradition, the religious and civil dimensions.

The heart of the festivities were the processions of the venerated Crucifix, accompanied by Eucharistic celebrations in the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Crucifix and the Mother Church. The streets of the center were lit up by illuminations and enlivened by grand brass band concerts in the town squares.

In the evenings, there was no shortage of firework displays: the highly anticipated "Grappoli di Stelle" pyromusical show, curated by Firelight in collaboration with Pirotecnica Chiarappa, and the final, grandiose batteria alla bolognese in the San Lorenzo district, sealing three days of devotion and celebration for the entire community of Rutigliano (Bari).

Saturday, September 13

• Religious celebrations and procession of the Most Holy Crucifix from the Sanctuary
• Illuminations and brass band concerts in the town center
• Fireworks

Sunday, September 14

• Solemn Eucharistic celebrations and gala procession towards the Mother Church
• Grand brass band concert in the Square
• Approx. 10:30 PM — "Grappoli di Stelle" pyromusical show (Firelight with Pirotecnica Chiarappa), San Lorenzo district

Monday, September 15

• Brass band concert and return procession of the Crucifix
• Grandiose batteria alla bolognese in the San Lorenzo district to close the feast
