Edition 2025 — Feast of the Holy Crucifix
The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix in Monteiasi opened on September 11 with the triduum of preaching, focused on the theme "The Cross: Source of Hope and Love", and concluded on Sunday, September 14, the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
The most solemn moment was the Eucharistic concelebration at 6:30 PM in Piazza Maria Immacolata, presided over by Monsignor Ciro Miniero, Metropolitan Archbishop of Taranto, followed by the traditional handing over of the city keys to the Crucifix by the Mayor and the procession through the town streets around 7:30 PM.
On the civil side, the town center streets were lit by illuminations provided by LME di Enzo Memmola, while the brass band concerts featured the Città di Francavilla Fontana band (September 13) and the Città di Conversano band (September 14). The patronal day ended with fireworks, with an initial display at 9:00 PM and the main show around 10:30 PM.
