2025 Edition
In May 2025, the community of Monteiasi renewed its devotion to the Most Holy Crucifix with the feast of the Invention of the Holy Cross, the so-called "little feast" of May 3rd. After the preparatory triduum in the Mother Church of Saint John the Baptist, the sanctuary of the Crucifix, the faithful gathered for the solemn Eucharistic celebration and the procession of the statue through the streets of the center.
As per tradition, the religious dimension intertwined with the secular: the brass band concert, the illuminations, and the fireworks, organized by the Patronal Festival Committee, accompanied a celebration deeply rooted in the identity of this small town in the province of Taranto.
