Feast of the Madonna delle Grazie

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Modica followed the usual traditional pattern. Celebrations in honor of the Madonna delle Grazie began on April 30th and reached their peak on the third Sunday of May. At dawn, the faithful, including the characteristic Scausi walking barefoot, reached the Sanctuary for the first mass at 6:00 AM.

In the evening, the solemn Eucharist took place, followed by the procession of the statue of the Madonna, accompanied by the Confraternity of Mercy, the faithful, and the Modica City Band through the streets of the center, with the return to the Sanctuary greeted by fireworks sponsored by the Municipality. A manifestation of faith and identity that confirms the deep bond between Modica and its patron saint.
