Edition 2025 — Feast of Maria SS. della Stella

In 2025, Pedagaggi celebrated its patron saint Maria SS. della Stella with traditional festivities from August 7th to 15th, culminating in the Solemnity of the Assumption. On August 15th, the solemn liturgy, the exit of the statue, and the procession through the streets of the hamlet took place, accompanied by the faithful and emigrants who returned for the occasion, with traditional fireworks closing the festival.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria SS. della Stella took place in Pedagaggi, a hamlet of the Municipality of Carlentini (Province of Syracuse), following the traditional calendar from August 7th to 15th. The festival was confirmed by the Maria SS. della Stella Parish of Pedagaggi, which celebrated the patron saint on the day of the Assumption.

As every year, the festivities alternated between religious rites - the "unveiling" of the Madonna, the prayer vigil, the solemn liturgy, and the procession on August 15th - and moments of popular celebration, with dance evenings, ancient traditional games, tastings of spaghetti alla casalota and typical products, and the concluding fireworks.
