Edition 2025 — Feast of the Madonna Assunta
The 2025 edition
On August 15, 2025, the Royal Pontifical Basilica of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli welcomed Neapolitans who remained in the city for Ferragosto with the celebration of the Madonna Assunta and a free concert by Mario Maglione, a historic interpreter of Neapolitan song. Admission was free, without reservation, subject to availability.
A four-month calendar
The evening was part of the patronal festival series of the Municipality of Naples, which in 2025 offered about four months of free events - solemn masses, processions, shows, and concerts - distributed across all neighborhoods until October 19th. The public success of that edition led to the expansion of the 2026 program, which grew to 26 patronal festivals.
