Edition 2025 — Holy Martyrs of Otranto
In 2025, Otranto celebrated its patron saints from August 13th to 15th, renewing the deep bond between the local community and the memory of the Eight Hundred Martyrs of 1480.
On August 13th, the day was dedicated to the civil commemoration of the massacre, with a historical speech and brass band concerts at the Villa Comunale and Largo Porta Terra. On August 14th, the pontifical mass in the Cathedral, the procession with the relic urn, and, late at night, the fireworks display over the harbor took place. On the evening of August 15th, the stage hosted a tribute concert to Vasco Rossi, the highlight of the musical part of the festival, highly anticipated by residents and tourists present in Otranto for the Salento Ferragosto.

Wednesday, August 13, 2025
- Civil commemoration of the massacre with a historical speech.
- Brass band concerts: Villa Comunale (10:30 AM) and Largo Porta Terra (9:30 PM).
Thursday, August 14, 2025
- Pontifical mass in the Cathedral and procession with the urn of the relics of the Holy Martyrs.
- Band matinee.
- Fireworks display over the harbor (around 1:00 AM, subject to weather conditions).
Friday, August 15, 2025
- 10:00 PM: Concert with a Vasco Rossi tribute band.
