Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Bonagia

The 2025 edition of the festivities was held in Bonagia, a seaside hamlet of Valderice (Trapani), from July 12 to 20, with the solemn procession of the Holy Crucifix on the third Sunday of the month.

The program combined religious rites and popular events: the torchlight procession with the faithful between the Church of Sant'Alberto and the Tonnara Chapel, the Sausage Sandwich Festival (Saturday, July 12), the Fried Pizza Festival (Saturday, July 19), and the evening distribution of traditional hot sfince. There were also dance evenings, a burraco tournament, a theatrical comedy, and a cabaret show with the Palermo artist Ivan Fiore.

The festival, coordinated by the Associazione SS Crocifisso Bonagia APS with the support of the Pro Loco of Valderice, concluded with the characteristic harbor salute and fireworks over the sea of Bonagia.
