Feast of the Co-Patron Saint Mauro Abate

2025 Edition

The Feast of Saint Mauro Abate in Bomba took place on the last Sunday of May 2025, on May 25th, at the Sanctuary dedicated to the co-patron. Faithful to tradition, the celebration spanned several days: the blessing of the oil, which pilgrims purchased to take home, the Friday procession with the wooden statue adorned in liturgical vestments along the streets of the historic center, and the liturgical celebrations culminating on Sunday with the return of the statue to the parish church. In 2025 as well, the festival attracted numerous pilgrims from across the province of Chieti and Abruzzo, confirming its status as a landmark event for the Bomba community.
