Feast of the Assumption of Mary and Saint Roch

2025 Edition

The 2025 Feast of the Assumption of Mary and Saint Roch was held in Roccamontepiano (Chieti) from August 11th to 16th, with an extension of the amusement park on the 17th and 18th. The festivities, organized by the parish, the San Rocco Association, and the Municipality, enlivened the historic center with over 800 meters of market stalls, food stands, and street food along Via Roma.

Highlights included: live music evenings in Piazza Belvedere, ballroom dancing, the watermelon festival on August 13th, daytime fireworks and the band parade on August 15th, and the solemn parade of the conche on August 16th, accompanied by the Pretoro band. The evenings of August 14th, 15th, and 16th hosted white nights at Parco dei Carpini with music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
