Feast of San Vincenzo Ferreri

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Feast of San Vincenzo Ferreri was celebrated in Maletto (province of Catania) with its usual focus on the third Sunday of September, Sunday, September 21st, as part of the Maletto patronal feast cycle.

The festivities opened in the preceding days with a concert by the V. Bellini brass band of Maletto and evenings of music and cabaret in the village squares. On Sunday, the most anticipated moment, the statue of San Vincenzo left the Church of Saint Anthony at dusk for the solemn procession on the wooden fercolo, winding along Via Roma, Via Bellini, Via Mameli, and the other traditional "Streets of the Saints," until its return accompanied by traditional fireworks.

Sunday, September 21, 2025 — Solemnity of San Vincenzo Ferreri

• Liturgical celebrations in the Church of Saint Anthony
• Evening — Solemn departure of the statue of San Vincenzo Ferreri and procession of the fercolo through the traditional streets of the village
• Musical accompaniment by the V. Bellini Band of Maletto
• Fireworks upon the saint's return

In the preceding days: band concert and entertainment and cabaret evenings in the squares of the historic center.
