2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Feast of San Nicolò Politi in Adrano (province of Catania) reached its peak on August 3rd. After the pilgrimage to the Grotta dell'Aspicuddu and the procession of the Sacred Skull, the Saint's day opened with the Dawn Mass and the procession of the statue through the streets of the historic center.
The most anticipated moment was, as always, the Flight of the Angel: a child, suspended on cables twelve meters high, crossed the space between Palazzo Bianchi and the Mother Church, reciting sacred verses in honor of the patron saint, amidst bells, incense, ancient chants, and a fireworks display. Local reports described a large turnout of the faithful, confirming a tradition that remains alive and deeply felt by the Adrano community.
