Edition 2025 — Feast of San Nicasio

The 2025 edition of the Feast of San Nicasio took place at the end of August, with the main solemnity on the last Sunday of the month and the grand procession on the following Monday. It was a particularly solemn edition, celebrated within the Jubilee Year (July 1, 2024 — September 1, 2025) declared for the 4th centenary of Caccamo's liberation from the 1624 plague and the election of San Nicasio as patron saint of the city (1625).

The 2025 August Fair during the Jubilee Year

The 2025 edition of the patronal festival of Caccamo (PA) took on special significance, as it was part of the Jubilee Year opened on June 30, 2024, and concluded on September 1, 2025, declared for the 4th centenary of the liberation from the plague (1624) and the election of San Nicasio as principal patron (1625).

True to tradition, the festival was structured around an octave of prayers—rosary and evening mass—culminating in the days of the solemnity: the youth day, the Day of the Sick with the anointing of the infirm, the Eucharistic day, the torchlight procession, and the floral tribute by the bearers. The solemn procession of the reliquary statue through the village streets, with stops at the city gates, and the final fireworks display closed the festivities, amidst thousands of faithful and the lively atmosphere of the August Fair.
