Feast of San Filippo d'Agira

The 2025 edition of the Feast of San Filippo d'Agira in Limina (province of Messina) followed the usual calendar. On May 11th, the Black Saint was carried in procession and raced to the Sanctuary of Passo Murazzo; on May 12th, the solemn return to the Mother Church of San Sebastiano Martire was celebrated.

The Octave, on the third Sunday of May, featured the solemn Holy Mass, the procession through the village streets, and the evocative re-enactment of the miracles, with the float carried at a run toward the Calvary and the Durbi district. The day concluded with fireworks, sealing one of the most heartfelt patronal feasts in the Messina hinterland.
