Feast of San Felice da Nicosia (Co-Patron Saint)

The 2025 edition of the Feast of San Felice da Nicosia was celebrated with particular solemnity, enriched by initiatives marking the twentieth anniversary of the beatification of the saint from Nicosia. The festivities began on August 16 and continued throughout the final week of the month.

Among the events, on Friday, August 23, a historical conference was held in the Fraternitas hall of the Capuchin convent regarding the role of the friars in post-unification Sicily, followed by an evening concert by the Roberta Zitelli Quintet in Piazza San Francesco di Paola. On Saturday, August 24, celebrations moved to Piazzetta San Calogero with a sketch dedicated to San Felice, and to Piazza Garibaldi with a musical show by the group "I Cercatori," dedicated to the life and miracles of the saint.

The highlight was the Sunday procession: the statue, carried on the shoulders of members of the Fraternitas, left the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli and traveled through the historic center of Nicosia, with a prayer stop at the Basilotta Hospital, before reaching the Cathedral.
