After the moment dedicated to the saint, the evening came to life with the highly anticipated return of the traditional Cuccagna, the popular game that draws families and curious visitors to the square every year for prizes, laughter, and a healthy spirit of competition.

On August 7, 2025, Acquarica del Capo celebrated its Feast of San Donato, an event included in the 2025 summer calendar of Presicce-Acquarica, one of Italy's most beautiful Salentine villages. The evening combined the devotional dimension linked to the saint with the popular festival, featuring the highly anticipated return of the Cuccagna starting at 8:30 PM.

The Cuccagna pole, made slippery with soap, saw both adults and children compete in an attempt to reach the prizes at the top, amidst the cheers of the audience. As per tradition, the event was free to attend and represented one of the most well-attended and genuine moments of the summer in Acquarica, capable of bringing the entire community together in the square.
