Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Ugento was held from September 26 to 28, following the novena and rosary celebrated every evening from September 17 to 25. The most solemn moment was the procession of the saints' statues through the historic center, accompanied by the blessing of the sick.

The main day, September 27, was dedicated to Holy Masses in the Sanctuary, the market fair, and the traditional animal market along Via Rovigo, while the city streets were lit up with illuminations by MarianoLight. The musical portion featured well-known names of Italian music in Piazza San Vincenzo, with the grand finale entrusted to the fireworks.

• Friday, September 26 — procession of the saints' statues and, in Piazza San Vincenzo, concert by the band Malafemmena at 9:30 PM.
• Saturday, September 27 — Holy Masses in the Sanctuary, market fair and animal market on Via Rovigo, MarianoLight illuminations, and symphonic-lyric concert by the City of Lecce at 8:30 PM.
• Sunday, September 28 — fireworks display at 9:00 PM and concert by Riccardo Fogli at 10:00 PM in Piazza San Vincenzo.

The symphonic-lyric concert by the City of Lecce and the live performance by Riccardo Fogli in Piazza San Vincenzo, along with the final fireworks display, were among the most applauded moments of 2025.
