Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian — Depressa

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian took place in Depressa, in the municipality of Tricase (LE), on Friday, September 26th and Saturday, September 27th. The first day was dedicated to holy masses in the parish church and the procession with which the statues of the co-patron saints were led to the Chapel dedicated to them, followed in the evening by the fireworks display. On September 27th, celebrations moved to the Chapel, with morning masses, the return of the simulacra to the mother church, and the final evening procession.

The secular program confirmed the tradition of the Salento patronal festival, with village streets lit by illuminations, brass band concerts hosted in the bandstand, and evenings of light music and cabaret that were very popular with the public. In 2025, the festival once again drew numerous devotees and visitors to Depressa, along with many emigrants who returned for the occasion.
