Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian and Saint Expeditus

The 2025 Program

The 2025 Feast of the Medici Saints and Saint Expeditus was spread over three days in the historic center of Polignano a Mare.

• Saturday, August 9: Morning wake-up call with blank shots, parade through the town streets by the "P. Serripierro" band of Polignano and "U' Tammurr" of Mola di Bari; in the evening, a concert by the Panama Band in Piazza Aldo Moro.
• Sunday, August 10 (main day): Morning blank shots, band parade, evening Holy Mass, and solemn procession with the statues of the saints through the streets of the village; at midnight, a fireworks display on the Lungomare Domenico Modugno.
• Monday, August 11: Parade through the town streets by the "Città de Molfetta" band, recitation of the Holy Rosary, and concluding Holy Mass.

As per tradition, illuminations lit up the squares of the historic center for all three evenings.

• Evening — Solemn Holy Mass
• Following — Solemn procession with the statues of the Medici Saints and Saint Expeditus through the streets of the historic center
• Midnight — Fireworks display on the Lungomare Domenico Modugno

Monday, August 11, 2025

• Afternoon — Parade through the town streets by the "Città di Molfetta" band
• Evening — Recitation of the Holy Rosary
• Following — Concluding Holy Mass of the festivities
