Feast of Saint Vitus the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Vitus the Martyr confirmed the strong bond between Mascalucia and its Patron Saint. On June 15, 2025, the anniversary of the martyrdom, the most intimate rites took place: the firing of cannons, the band parade, the unveiling of the 16th-century statue, and the blessing of dogs and pets on the square of the Church of San Vito.

The grand outdoor festival on the first Sunday of August brought to the streets the procession of the silver fercolo along Via Etnea to the Mother Church, the "Entrance of the parties" of the districts, the allegorical floats on the life of the Saint, the artistic illuminations, and the final "Evviva Santu Vitu" fireworks display. A festival that, even in 2025, combined devotion, folklore, and Sicilian tradition.
