Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Vitus

From August 26 to 31, 2025, Chiaramonte Gulfi celebrated its patron saint, Saint Vitus the Martyr, with an intense program of faith and tradition. After the triduum and the dressing of the 18th-century statue, the festivities included the blessing of the animals, symphonic marches in Piazza Duomo performed by the "Vito Cutello" band, and celebrations in the neighborhoods. On Sunday, August 31, the solemn procession of the statue and the relic passed through the historic center, ending late at night with a fireworks display in front of the Mother Church.

Feast of Saint Vitus 2025 in Chiaramonte Gulfi

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Vitus the Martyr took place in Chiaramonte Gulfi, in the province of Ragusa, from August 26 to 31. The festivities began with the preparatory triduum and the dressing of the Saint's 18th-century statue, accompanied by Eucharistic celebrations presided over by Archpriest Graziano Martorana and moments of celebration at the San Vito square.

The central days featured the blessing of the animals, the parade of the "Vito Cutello" town band, symphonic marches in Piazza Duomo, and sports tournaments at the San Vito field. On Sunday, August 31, the solemn procession of the statue and the Holy Relic traveled through the historic center with stops for prayer at several local churches, while the hymn dedicated to the Patron Saint was performed in Piazza Duomo. The return of the statue to the Mother Church late at night was greeted by the traditional fireworks.
