Feast of Saint Theodore the Martyr

The 2025 edition

In 2025, Gallodoro once again renewed its devotion to its patron saint, Saint Theodore the Martyr. On the Sunday before the feast, the Cavalcata was held, with a procession of horsemen riding through the village streets in homage to the saint.

On the eve of November 8th, the San Teodoro marching band enlivened the village streets; in the evening, the faithful gathered in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta for the traditional prayer vigil, followed by fireworks and a convivial moment with music and tastings of pasta with chestnuts, sausage, and wine. On November 9th, the day of the civil feast, the afternoon Eucharistic celebration preceded the procession of the 17th-century statue through the streets of the center, accompanied by the band. An intimate and deeply identity-driven festival for this village in the Agrò Valley, in the province of Messina.
