Edition 2025 — Saint Sebastian Acireale
The 2025 edition confirmed the massive popular participation in the feast of the co-patron of Acireale. On January 20th, the day began with morning masses in the Basilica and the morning procession of the float (from 7:00 AM) through the Baroque center, with stops at city churches. At 11:00 AM, the solemn mass was presided over by Bishop Monsignor Antonino Raspanti.
In the afternoon, starting at 5:00 PM, the grand evening procession led the statue through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by traditional prayers and songs, concluding late at night with the return to the Basilica and a pyrotechnic display. Specific traffic restrictions were in place throughout the day of the feast.
