Feast of Saint Sebastian the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Sebastian in Tortorici reprised the entire cycle of traditional festivities. The bula, with the torchlight procession and the bonfire in the square, opened the fire rituals; this was followed by the laurel parade, with branches decorated with ribbons and citrus fruits.

On January 18th, the fuitina da vara took place, and on January 20th, the solemn procession: after the Mass and the presentation of the City keys, the statue was carried on the shoulders of the "nudi" through the narrow streets of the historic center. The festivities concluded with the octave, testifying to the deep devotion of the Tortorici community to its patron saint.
